Louisiana deputies lose their hair to support one of their own

A daring act for one of their own. The wife of a Livingston Sheriff’s Deputy was recently diagnosed with cancer and his colleagues did something special to show their support.
There’s a distinctive lack of hair at the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. Deputy after deputy they all work together.

” This department has been like a family since I got in in 2003 so Jason Ardis is a fantastic boss and the sheriff before him had structured this as
a family-oriented organization,” says Lt. Donnie Robinson.

Several deputies are banning together and showing support by shaving their heads bald in support of Sheriff Deputy Kevin Smith’s wife Elizabeth Smith also known
as Liz who is battling breast cancer.
Liz says she wanted to call her own shots and make her own decision when she’d lose her hair so she decided to shave it off.
Feeling touched by Liz’s story, some of the deputies completely changed their look to resemble their hero, who is encouraging others.
