CHICAGO, Ill. (BRPROUD) – On Tuesday, July 20, Louisiana was one of three states added to the City of Chicago Travel Advisory List.

The City of Chicago Travel Advisory List now contains five states and the Virgin Islands.

What that means is that “unvaccinated individuals traveling from the states or territories on the Orange list are advised – not required – to obtain a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Chicago or quarantine for a 10-day period upon arrival. Vaccinated individuals are exempt from the Advisory, which will be updated weekly going forward,” according to the Chicago Department of Public Health.

The CDC COVID Data Tracker stated that as of Tuesday, Louisiana is seeing 20.9 daily infections per 100,000.
