If you’re currently raising children in Louisiana, you may want to reconsider your child’s educational options.

According to Wallethub, Louisiana has the worst public school system in America.

The best and worst schools in the country were determined by comparing the 50 states and the District of Columbia in a study across 25 key measures of quality and safety.

The data set ranges from pupil-teacher ratio, to dropout rates and median standardized-test scores.

Louisiana ranked 51 in math test scores, 48 in reading test scores, and 46 in dropout rates, just to name a few reasons why the state ranked so poorly.

Massachusetts came in as having the best schools and New Mexico was rated as having the worst.

Curious to learn more details about why Louisiana ranked so poorly or would you like to know where other states ranked?
