Louisiana rapper arrested in connection with deadly trail ride shooting in Roseland

TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – A 21-year-old Baton Rouge woman named Zion Hutcherson was shot and killed in August of last year while at a trail ride in Roseland.

Another arrest has been made in the shooting death of this local woman.

Warrants were obtained by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

23-year-old Javorius Tykies Scott, also known as JayDaYoungan was arrested and charged with Accessory to Second Degree Murder and Obstruction of Justice.

The rapper from Louisiana posted bond on Monday, September 20 after it was set at $175,000.

Eleven days after the shooting, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office made multiple arrests.

Then in September of 2020, two more people were arrested in connection with this deadly shooting.

The investigation into this deadly shooting remains ongoing.
