LPSO: Duo in custody “for burglarizing several car wash coin machines”

LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, “On October 13th, just after midnight, at least three people burglarized several car wash coin machines throughout the west side of the parish from Watson, Walker North, Juban Rd. and in the Town of Livingston.”

LPSO released this video and asked for the public’s help identifying the individual who appears to be trying to burglarize a car wash coin machine.

Along with the video, these pictures show what authorities believe are some of the people involved in these incidents.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms that two of the people they believe are involved in these incidents are now in custody.

The duo in custody are 37-year-old Blake Mascarella and 36-year-old Kate Rogers.

Mascarella and Rogers will be transferred to the Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Both face the same charges listed below:

  • 3 counts of Attempted Simple Burglary
  • 3 counts of Simple Burglary

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and LSP Fugitive Taskforce are assisting the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office on this case.

The investigation remains ongoing.
