LPSO: Missing boys have been found ‘safe and sound’

UPDATE:  

LPSO said, “the Garsee brothers have been located!  They were found safe and sound at a nearby residence. Thank you for your assistance.”

ORIGINAL: 

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for two boys, ages 12 and 10. 

The two missing boys are named Jacob Garsee and Riley Garsee​​​​​​.

LPSO said, Jacob, 12 and Riley, 10 “were last seen just before 6p on June 17, 2019 near their home off Glascock Lane in Walker.”

The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office provided details about each boy: 

  • Jacob Garsee
  • 3/16/07
  • White male, brown hair, blue eyes, 5-2, 155lbs, scar on right eyebrow closest to the nose, last seen wearing black sleeveless shirt with jeans. 
  • Riley Garsee
  • 6/29/08
  • White male, light blonde hair, blue eyes, 4-9, 80-90lbs, last seen wearing blue sleeveless shirt with jeans.

LPSO said, “the family contacted us late last night for assistance. The boys were outside of their home helping to do yard work.  It’s believed they wandered off.  The home is near a wooded area.  LPSO deputies and our first responder partners have been and continue to actively search the area. We do not suspect foul play at this hour.”
