WASHINGTON D.C. (BRPROUD) — A group of Troopers from Louisiana State Police are headed to the Nation’s Capital to escort families of fallen officers from around the nation to various events for National Police Week.

“It is with great pride that these Troopers travel north to assist in honoring our brothers and sisters who we have lost,” a statement released on the Louisiana State Police Facebook page.

LSP says that this year, LSP fallen Master Trooper Adam Gaubert’s name will be placed on the memorial wall. Gaubert was killed during a multi-parish crime spree on Oct. 9 in Baton Rouge.
