LSU fans excited about spring game

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Excitement is in the air as the LSU Tigers are getting ready for the annual spring game. After the coronavirus pandemic canceled last year’s game fans say this couldn’t come at a better time.

“It’s a good step forward considering we’ve been packed up in our houses, and classes have been online, so we really need this release,” Yaszer Al-Sharifi said.

Peyton Pipher is a freshman. He says he never got a student lottery ticket for the fall games, so he’s relieved he can cheer on the team before his first year ends.

“This is a really fun opportunity for students, and I’m super excited, and I’m looking forward to it for sure,” Pipher said.

The LSU football team will walk down Victory Hill at 10:30 a.m. There will be free admission and general admission seating throughout Tiger Stadium. Masks will be required, and social distancing is encouraged.

Kickoff is scheduled for noon, and the gates will open at 11 a.m. Fans will be able to enter at the South and West gates.
