Many Tiger fans started Friday on an optimistic note. After hearing the news that Javonte Smart would return, fans were eager to watch the Tigers take on the Florida Gators.
At halftime, it seemed things were going well.
“We’re pushing the ball really well and getting some three-pointers. We just need to make sure we don’t take our foot off the gas. We need to push them and blow them out,” LSU fan Billy Hicks said at halftime.
Towards the end of the game, fans were singing a different tune.
“It was a heartbreaker. To lose with a 3-pointer at the end. I mean, we’ve been the team all year that has been going to overtime or winning games with three-pointers. That’s a killer. I can’t believe he made that shot,” LSU fan Rick Bond said.
Despite the loss, fans tell us they think LSU is still in good shape for the NCAA Tournament.
