BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The LSU Police Department responded to a report of shots fired overnight on campus.

Officers arrived around 2:45 a.m. near Dalrymple Dr. at West Lakeshore Dr. and everyone was asked to stay away until the completion of the investigation.

The ensuing investigation lasted a little over 30 minutes and LSUPD determined that there was “no further threat to campus.”

Further investigation led to the arrest of Gavin Teague and Jevaughn Williams.

The duo was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Thanks to the partnership between LSU PD and Baton Rouge PD, two suspects have been arrested in the incident, in relation to the emergency text message that LSU sent out. No members of the LSU community were involved in this incident.
