BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A 20-year-old man is facing a rape charge after allegedly forcing himself on a 16-year-old girl in a parking lot on Bluebonnet Boulevard.

According to the arrest documents, the victim told officers with the Baton Rouge Police Department that she had conversations with 20-year-old Kwan Allen II for about a month on social media. Allen told her he was 18 years old and she told Allen she was 16 years old.

Police said on May 25, the two met on Bluebonnet Boulevard and parked their cars next to each other. The victim said she was sitting in the passenger seat of Allen’s car when he forced her legs open, police documents said. Allen allegedly crossed over the center console and pinned her down. The teenager told authorities she was unable to fight back due to Allen’s strength and their position in the seat.

Arrest documents report the victim’s younger sister was in the backseat of her car and was also interviewed. The younger sister told the police that she saw the victim get into Allen’s car. The younger sister also told the police that the victim was visibly “sad” and “upset” when she got back into her car.

The teen victim drove home and called the police. She was sent to Our Lady of the Lake Pediatric Hospital. Police said that the victim identified Allen in a lineup.

BRPD arrested Allen and charged him with second-degree rape and sexual battery Wednesday.

Allen’s booking photo was not immediately available.
