WALKER, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Denham Springs man accused of walking into a home Tuesday night while residents were sleeping.
Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Courtney Road in Walker on the night of Tuesday, July 5. Sheriff Jason Ard said no one in the home was injured.
“This is an unusual case where a suspect simply walked into a residence through an unlocked door after 10 p.m.,” said Ard. “Most of the occupants were asleep at the time. Fortunately, this ended without incident. All are okay.”
No further details of the break-in were shared by the sheriff’s office.
The suspect, Jason W. McLin, 44, of Denham Springs, was arrested on a charge of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
