BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A man was arrested by state wildlife and fisheries agents after allegedly filing false public records for a boat inspection.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) said its agents arrested Chad M. Milton, 43, of Hammond following an investigation.
Agents found that Milton allegedly falsified documents for a homemade boat inspection that was conducted on July 8. However, LDWF said the paperwork was filed on June 6. Milton admitted to falsifying documents on Aug. 16.
LDWF said filing false public records could lead to a $5,000 fine and five years in jail. Milton was booked into EBR Parish Prison.
