BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A man was arrested by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office after bringing a concealed firearm into Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
Early Monday morning, an individual walked into the hospital’s emergency room for check-in, according to a probable cause report from EBRSO. The report also stated that the registration clerk noticed the weapon and immediately notified security.
Soon after, the man, later identified as Jordan Bradford, was detained and a pat-down led to the discovery of a Glock 43 with an extended “drum” concealed within his jacket, said EBRSO.
When asked by deputies, Bradford said he did not have a concealed carry permit and that he was carrying the gun because he believed that someone was trying to kill him. He was arrested by authorities and transported to the local jail.
