BAYOU L’OURSE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested a 46-year-old man and are attempting to arrest a 42-year-old woman for their connection to financial crimes.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call on Oct. 5, 2021, which deputies were informed that 46-year-old Nathan P. Montet, had made two payments for personal use from accounts he was not authorized to access. Ranging from Oct. 5, 2021 to Dec. 1, 2021, the same account was used four more times with the amount totaling $1,265.79.
As the investigation went on, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office was able to identify 42-year-old Heather Lynn Guillory, as a participant who did not have access to the account for the scheme.
After the investigation, deputies were able to get arrest warrants for Montet and Guillory, APSO says.
Nathan P. Montet was arrested in Bayou L’Ourse and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on three counts of bank fraud, three counts of access device fraud, three counts of identity theft and illegal transmission of monetary funds. Montet was incarcerated and released on a $39,000 bond.
The arrest warrant for Heather Lynn Guillory remain outstanding on charges of three counts of bank fraud, three counts of access device fraud, three counts of identity theft, and illegal transmission of monetary funds.
