BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Police arrested a 63-year-old man in connection to the shooting death of a man on Thomas H. Delpit Drive last Thursday.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the suspect as Donald Stevenson. He was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on a second-degree murder charge.

Detectives began investigating the death of 50-year-old Jeffery Follins on Thursday, June 16. BRPD said Follins died at the scene from his injuries.

Police said the motive for this shooting is still unknown.
