Man arrested on drug charge after violating parole

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- The Assumption Police Department responded to a call regarding a suspicious person complaint in the 4300 block of LA 70 on June 12.

During the investigation, deputies requested consent to search a backpack and tackle box on the bike of 33-year-old Dustin Gerald Patrick Breaux . Deputies also conducted a pat down search and located multiple doses of suboxone Breaux. The drug was seized.

Authorities confirmed that Breaux was wanted on a Department of Corrections Probation/ Parole violation warrant.

Breaux was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

  • Possession of Suboxone
  • Probation and Parole Warrant

Breaux’s bond is set at $5,000 for the drug charge, and no bond for the probation warrant.
