Man fatally stabs brother in early morning altercation

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office received a walk-in complaint from a man who reported that he was involved in a fatal altercation with his brother.

Christopher Brooks, 44, said he was arguing with his brother over synthetic marijuana, known as mojo, and the argument became physical. He said during the physical altercation, he found a knife and began stabbing 31-year-old Frank Brooks, six times.

After further investigation, it was learned that the altercation happened near W. Second Street and Pine Street in Donaldsonville.

Christopher Brooks was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and booked into Ascension Parish Jail.
