Man shot and killed at local motel, EBRSO deems shooting “justifiable” and arrests shooter on other charges

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a local motel.

Deputies arrived around 7:45 p.m. at the Motel 6 which is located at 10445 Reiger Rd.

The ensuing investigation found that 35-year-old Aaron Hudson was shot and killed by 42-year-old Kenneth Jobbers.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, investigators “observed the victim lying on the balcony in front of room 215 suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.”

EBRSO says the shooting was “justifiable” but the shooter was taken into custody on other charges which are listed below:

  • One count of Possession Schedule 1
  • One count of Illegal Carrying of Weapons (with CDS)
  • One Count of Possession of Marijuana

Jobbers is currently in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
