Man stabbed at Prairieville bar, deputies seek suspect’s identity

PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office seeks the identity of a stabbing suspect after a man was injured at a local bar.

The incident happened on Sept. 25 at Mom’s Bar in Prairieville after 10 p.m., according to deputies. The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries — but authorities expect a full recovery.

APSO investigation found that the victim and another man got into a physical argument, leading to the stabbing. The suspect left the bar before deputies arrived.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect has been described as a five-foot-six white male with a stocky build and brown hair and at the bar with a woman described as a heavy-set five-foot-four woman with shoulder-length brunette hair and glasses.
