BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a disturbance in connection with an incident at a Pierre Part apartment complex on June 17.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the female complainant and was told that 29-year-old John Edward Westerfield contacted her and said he was going to her residence to pick up his child. She ordered Westerfield not to enter her home.
Later, Westerfield arrived at the location and without authorization, he forced his way into the apartment.
A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Westerfield. He surrendered at the Assumption Parish Detention Center and was booked on a count of Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling. He was released on a $10,000 bond.
