Masks optional for fully vaccinated Baton Rouge General visitors

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge General has updated its visitation guidelines to no longer require masks for fully vaccinated visitors.

Those who are not fully vaccinated are required to wear a mask and All Skilled Nursing Unit visitors must wear masks at all times, according to BRG. Other visitation guideline changes include:

  • Two visitors allowed per patient and only one visitor allowed to stay overnight. (Exceptions for Birth Center)
  • Children 12+ are allowed in most areas of the hospital. (Exceptions for Behavioral Health and NICU)
  • Visiting hours: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Exceptions for Behavioral Health, ICU, NICU and Skilled Nursing Unit)
