Mayor Broome and former state Rep. Steve Carter participating in outdoor forum on Monday

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – We are less than a week away from the runoff election in Louisiana.

On December 5, voters in East Baton Rouge Parish will have the chance to choose between Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and former state Rep. Steve Carter.

On Monday, November 30, an outdoor forum is taking place involving the two candidates for Mayor-President of the City of Baton Rouge and East Baton Rouge Parish. 

The Press Club of Baton Rouge is hosting the forum which is taking place at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden.

The forum is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. and last for one hour.

Anyone who attends Monday’s forum is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

The moderator at this afternoon’s forum is Jim Engster.

The public is not allowed to ask questions at the outdoor forum.
