BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome has proclaimed August as Black Philanthropy Month in East Baton Rouge Parish.

According to Mayor-President Broome, Black Philanthropy Month honors the resourcefulness and inspiration of black communities and their history of giving as a way to transform communities for the future.
