BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – With the federal government’s COVID-19 Public Health Emergency expected to end in the coming months, Medicaid enrollees should make sure their health plans have the correct contact information.
Healthy Louisiana will need to reach out to the enrollees when the company goes back to its standard process for determining its residents’ Medicaid eligibility when the government’s COVID-19 Public Health Emergency ends.
“As a mission-driven organization, we want to make sure that people eligible for Medicaid do not lose coverage,” said AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana Market President Kyle Viator. “Current Medicaid members should update their contact information at MyMedicaid.la.gov. This will allow Healthy Louisiana to communicate important information related to Medicaid eligibility.”
