Methamphetamine and heroin dealer arrested in EBR

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – EBRSO Narcotics and the Baton Rouge DEA Task Force worked together to capture a local methamphetamine and heroin dealer.

31-year-old Joshua Toussaint was apprehended on Thursday, November 19.

According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, “during the investigation, EBRSO Agents conducted controlled purchases of methamphetamine and heroin from Toussaint which were captured on audio and video.”

Two search warrants led authorities to discovery these items below:

  • 1.43 pounds of methamphetamine (approx. street value $15,000)
  • 17.8 grams of heroin (approx. street value $1,200)
  • 60 dosage units of amphetamine pills
  • 5 dosage units of oxycodone
  • 15 THC Cartridges
  • Glock 9mm handgun
  • S&W .40 Cal. Handgun (stolen)

Toussaint is facing these charges:

  • Dist. of Sch. I (Heroin)
  • Dist. of Sch. II (Meth)
  • PWITD Sch. I (Meth) in excess of 200 grams
  • PWITD Sch. II (Heroin)
  • PWITD Sch. II (amphetamine pills)
  • PWITD Sch. II (oxycodone)
  • PWITD Sch. I (THC cartridges)
  • PWITD Sch. III (supoxone strips)
  • Poss. of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (2 counts)
  • Poss. of a Firearm with CDS (2 counts)
  • Poss. of a Stolen Firearm
  • Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia
