BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Military service members and veterans will have to opportunity to receive assistance at the Military and Veteran Resource Fair on Thursday, Sept. 29.

Capital Area United Way (CAUW) is hosting their United4Vets Resource Fair for those who need help with employment, are interested in receiving healthcare or mental health resources, having trouble with VA disability claims, and more.

“The resource fair will be the first in a series of events dedicated to providing vets with great resources as well as access to job readiness training opportunities,” said Delores Hurst, Senior Director of Community Impact and Equity at Capital Area United Way. “We are planning to leverage the partners attending to build out a circle of impact and care for our veterans and current active-duty personnel.”

The resource fair will be held on Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Capitol Park Museum from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
