HAMMOND, La. (BRPROUD) — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office (TPSO) says a missing woman may be headed to Baton Rouge after receiving a tip.

A Silver Alert was issued for Deborah R. Collins, 68, Wednesday night. The sheriff’s office describes Collins as four-foot, weighing 140 pounds with long salt and pepper hair, and wearing a camouflage long sleeve shirt and black pants. TPSO says she has a hearing impairment and other health conditions that could impair her judgment.

Authorities said she was spotted at a Walmart in Hammond after 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office says Collins mentioned trying to get to Baton Rouge to employees. She was seen on surveillance leaving the store and heading west on Highway 190, according to TPSO.
