(3/28/19) On March 26, 2019, Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s officers began pursuit of a Monroe man following a near miss involving a police officer.

According to the arrest report deputies say they witnessed Christopher Ponder, 18, veer into oncoming traffic forcing the police cruiser to swerve out of his own lane or risk colliding with Ponder.
