BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that took the life of a 28-year-old man.

Police said the crash happened on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at around 12:05 a.m. in the 800 block of South Foster Drive.

According to BRPD, the driver of a motorcycle, identified as Jarrod Braud, 28, reportedly crashed into a metal traffic signal box at the intersection of South Foster Drive and Claycut Road.

Braud was taken to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing, BRPD said.
