Multiple area law enforcement agencies work together to apprehend two robbery suspects

LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) – Multiple area law enforcement agencies worked together to apprehend two robbery suspects.

On Monday night before 7 p.m., Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a robber at the Dollar General on Hwy 22.

Two male individuals went into the store and began stealing items said LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard. One customer was battered and their cell phone was stolen, Ard added.

LPSO said the suspects fled the store and were pursued by authorities into East Baton Rouge Parish.

Other law enforcement agencies worked with LPSO to apprehend the suspects. Those law enforcement agencies include French Settlement Police Department, Port Vincent Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and Baton Rouge Police Department.

The suspects’ vehicle was confiscated and the items stolen were recovered by authorities, according to LPSO.

This robbery is part of an ongoing investigation.
