BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Attorney Peyton Murphy wants to help those who don’t have access to face masks after learning one of his own family members couldn’t leave their house.
Murphy says his mother couldn’t go to the store because she didn’t have a mask.
He says he’s been self isolated in Grand Isle for 26 days but he knew he wanted help those who are in the same situation as his mom.
While he’s been in Grand Isle he gave 125 masks.

Murphy Law Firm has received several messages from people who are in need of masks but have no way of getting them.
Murphy plans to give away 2,000 KN95 masks over a two day period.
The main focus of the giveaway is targeted to those most vulnerable such as those 65 and older and anyone with a compromised immune system.
The giveaways will be held on April 17th from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and April 18th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Murphy Law Firm, 2354 S Acadian Thruway.
Masks are limited to two per car.
Chip Burr, owner of Rock and Roll Sushi helped facilitate the giveaway and will give a $10 coupon to those who spend $20 on a meal.
