The new documentary “Shades of Her” explores the nuances of skin tone of African-American women. It shares stories of how color affects the way people live, see themselves and interact with others. The film was shot in Baton Rouge and features residents from across the state.
The East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library on Goodwood Boulevard will screen the film for free Sunday, October 8 at 7pm. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion.
Wednesday on Local 33 News Today, “Shades of Her” executive producer Letrece Griffin discussed the project and the upcoming screening.
