BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33/FOX 44) Mayor-President Sharon Weston-Broome will provide an update about a new community-driven PPE transfer and distribution site in an effort to support local hospitals and first responders.
Broome will be joined by Baton Rouge Area Chamber, Baton Rouge Area Foundation, Baton Rouge Health District, Baton Rouge Clinic, Baton Rouge General, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Ochsner, Our Lady of the Lake, Woman’s Hospital, Lane Regional Medical, Coca-Cola, ExxonMobil, and Wanhua Chemical Baton Rouge.

COVID-19 patients require a significant amount of personal protective equipment — or PPE.
There are several types of PPE also known as personal protective equipment and that includes face shields, gloves, goggles and glasses, gowns, head covers, masks, respirators, and shoe covers.
