Ochsner offering COVID-19 vaccine, lunch at local community center

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – If you are interested in a bite to eat and the COVID-19 vaccine, head to the Jewel J. Newman Community Center on Monday.

Ochsner Baton Rouge is offering lunch until 1 p.m. along with all of the available COVID-19 vaccines during this pop-up vaccine event.

This pop-up vaccine event is made possible through the efforts of these organizations:

  • East Baton Rouge Council on Aging
  • Metro Councilwoman Chauna Banks’ office
  • Ochsner Community Health – Brees Family Center

No appointments are necessary and if you are able to stop by, please remember to bring your ID, mask and insurance cards.

The Jewel J. Newman Community Center is located at 2013 Central Rd.
