UPDATE: 41-year-old, Laterrica Williams has been identified as the driver of the other vehicle. Williams was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Around 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning, the Baton Rouge Fire Department, Baton Rouge Police Department, and EMS responded to a deadly vehicle fire on I-110 South.

Emergency responders confirmed that one person was left in critical condition and two people were killed in connection with this incident.

The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office and police identified the two victims as 48-year-old Christopher Fisher and 3-year-old Christopher Fisher Jr.

The coroner’s office is working to figure out the cause of death for both individuals. The Baton Rouge Police Department suspects that this was a hit-and-run crash.
