BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Volunteers of America South Central Louisiana expands its services to more communities in the state. The former name is Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge.

David Kneipp, president & CEO of the organization, said, “We have been serving Louisiana since 1921. We changed our name to better reflect the communities we serve and expanded our programs into the Acadiana, Southwest and Central Louisiana regions.”

Services include behavioral/mental health, support for adults disabilities, affordable and safe housing, homeless outreach, therapeutic foster care and early childhood education.

The organization also has the Louisiana School Readiness Tax Credit program that allows local businesses to donate to early childhood education programs right here in the Greater Baton Rouge community and receive a 100% refundable state tax credit for doing so.
