‘Parade of Champions’ kicks off in Baton Rouge on Aug. 28

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A four-city parade tour promoting cancer awareness and celebrating local survivors kicks off in Baton Rouge on Aug. 28.

The Parade of Champions will be held at the District 6 Metro Council Office on Airline Highway across the parking lot from Baton Rouge Police Headquarters.

The event will have pop-up shops, local vendors, food trucks and free COVID vaccines.

The parade starts at 4 p.m. and continues through 7 p.m.

Parade locations and dates:

  • Mobile, Alabama on Sept. 18
  • Houston/Humble, Texas on Oct. 9
  • Waveland, Mississippi on Oct. 23
