The Bayou Vermillion District will host their annual Bayou Festival and Boat parade on Saturday, Sept. 25.

The parade will start at Vermillionville and go down the river to Southside Park. Festival-goers can enjoy themselves on the water or at the party after the parade that will have live music.

For anyone interested in attending who don’t have any water crafts have the opportunity to rent a paddle craft or motorized boat to join the parade.

The purpose of the festival is to increase awareness of the river as a viable source of recreation for Louisiana citizens.
