Pedestrian killed on Gold Place Road in Ascension Parish

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Ascension Parish deputies responded to an incident involving a pedestrian on Oct. 31 at 3 a.m.

Upon arrivals deputies found 41-year-old Stan Lee Frederic suffering from severe head injuries. Deputies arrested 45-year-old Trent Amedee and he was charged with intoxicated first, first-degree vehicular negligent injury, and careless operation.

Frederic was transported to a Baton Rouge hospital for treatment. He died on Nov. 4.

Amedee was also charged with vehicular homicide as a result of Frederic’s death. He is booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
