In Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana State Police are still investigating a deadly crash claiming the lives of two Morganza men. Troopers say the crash happened Saturday around 3:00 P.M. on LA 1 near LA 420 and took the lives of 21-year-old Christopher Armster and 34-year-old James Guidry.
According to police, Armster drove his car down LA 1 and hit the back of an 18-wheeler driven by 39-year-old Roberto Mendosa. Troopers say Armster and Guidry were not buckled up, died at the scene, and speed and impairment were factors in this crash.
