Prairieville celebrity baker launches online cake subscription box

BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — Holly Sigur Broussard hails from Prairieville and has been making cakes for as long as she can remember.

In October, Sigur Broussard won episode two of the premiere season of “Freakshow Cakes,” which aired on The Cooking Channel on Oct. 25. In 2016, Sigur was crowned the co-winner of an episode of “Cake Wars.”

Now, she is turning her attention to ‘Sweet Elizabeth Cakes,’ a business Sigur launched at the age of 18. The company just launched a subscription box geared toward children, just in time for the holidays.

“My daughters have played a huge role in my career,” said Sigur Broussard, “and have inspired me to create a box that will give other moms the opportunity to create priceless memories with their kids in the kitchen.”
