BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — Provisions on Perkins, a restaurant defined on Yelp as having Cajun/Creole flavor, has closed its doors permanently, according to a Facebook post.
“Unfortunately, we must say goodbye and close our doors. We thank you all. Remember, Wants vs. Needs – and always, good food! Geaux Tigers!” reads the post.
The restaurant has received some unfavorable reviews in recent months on social media.
One customer JB G., complained that the signage advertising happy hour was inconsistent with what the restaurant actually charged.
Others enjoyed the atmosphere, but in a town wrought with an abundance of food options, found the ‘provisions’ at Provisions unable to compete in the Capital City.
Provisions on Perkins was located in front of Trader’s Joe’s in Acadian Village.
