Restore Louisiana Task Force meeting on Friday morning

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) - Gov. John Bel Edwards initiated a resolution that the Restore Louisiana Task Force will consider on Friday, July 13 at 9:30 a.m.

According to the Restore Louisiana Task Force, "members will consider a resolution proposed by Gov. John Bel Edwards to expand the Restore Homeowner Assistance Program tiered reimbursement award to 100 percent for all eligible homeowners."

The current reimbursement award is set at 50 percent.

Organizers said the Task Force will hear from the Office of Community Development who "will provide updates on the Restore Homeowner Assistance, Rental Housing, Economic Development and Infrastructure Programs."

The Council on Watershed Management will also give a presentation "on the Louisiana Watershed-Based Floodplain Management Program."

The Restore Louisiana Task Force said the meeting will occur "in House Committee Room 5 at the State Capitol."
