PRAIRIEVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — Deputies arrested a man accused of a Sunday road rage incident that left another man who is battling cancer with multiple injuries.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office said Bryan Cage, 37, of Baton Rouge was arrested on charges of second-degree battery and hit-and-run driving Thursday.

Deputies met with an injured man in Prairieville on Sunday, Oct. 16 who told investigators that Cage attacked him after a vehicle accident, according to APSO. The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The victim’s wife said Tuesday in an interview with BRProud that her husband, Scott Gray, is slowly recovering from his injuries after he was left beaten and bruised.

The sheriff’s office said Cage was identified through law enforcement technology and he turned himself in to detectives.

Cage was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
