BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Changes have been made to Scotlandville High School‘s scheduling to allow plumbing repairs to continue, according to a Wednesday night announcement from EBR Schools.

The school system said as construction continues in the E Building, students will rotate shifts between in-person and virtual learning in two-day increments for all grade levels and a three-day increment for seniors starting Thursday, Sept. 22.

“This plan will alleviate anywhere from 150 – 250 students being on campus daily, allowing for adequate space to effectively deliver instruction in the absence of utilizing the E Building,” said EBR Schools. “Parents were notified of this plan earlier today in order to prepare accordingly.”

Schedule changes for Scotlandville High School from EBR Schools:

  • Sept. 22-23 — All freshmen will be doing virtual learning while all sophomores, juniors, and seniors report to campus for in-person learning.
  • Sept. 26-27 — All sophomores will be doing virtual learning while all freshmen, juniors, and seniors report to campus for in-person learning.
  • Sept. 28-29 — All juniors will be doing virtual learning while all freshmen, sophomores, and seniors report to campus for in-person learning.
  • Sept. 30 and Oct. 3-4 — All seniors will be doing virtual learning while freshmen, sophomores, and juniors report to campus for in-person learning.

EBR Schools notes that community-based students will report to campus on all days.

Earlier this month the high school received flooding in the E Building due to plumbing issues.
