BATON ROUGE, La. (BR Proud News) – Tiger fans are preparing for LSU game day in an unconventional way.

Over at Electric Depot the socially distanced party was popping. This year, the annual event was a little different.

“Times were different last year so we did it heading into football season and it was like the kick off to football season which is still the same event tonight just scaled down a little” said organizers Meredith Waguespack and Sarah Guidry.

Organizers implemented changes for this year’s festivities, asking everyone to wear a mask and keep their distance.

“I think people are eager to come out and just be a part of something and be a part of the community” said Waguespack.

Throughout the evening, people were able to enjoy music, food, and local shops.

It’s not the usual way to kick-off the season but people said, it’s good to see a bit of excitement and support local businesses.
