Severe weather reeks havoc on some parts of Metro area

ZACHARY, LA (WVLA-WBMB)– Strong storms ripped through the area overnight leaving a trail of debris in it’s wake.

Strong winds sent trees through the roofs of homes and downed power lines left several people
in the dark. Many spent the day cleaning up debris.

“My girlfriend called me at 3:30 a.m. this morning and said it was raining in the house didn’t
quit understand what she meant when it was raining in the house so she went looking, the
three came through the roof through the ceiling.

The City of Zachary Public Works will begin picking up yard debris from the storm on Monday.
