BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Shaquille O’Neal is about to add to his Baton Rouge legacy. His chicken franchise, Big Chicken will be opening its first restaurant in the capital city.

Big Chicken has locations in Texas, Missouri and Las Vegas. The menu includes Lucille’s Mac N’ Cheese, which is named after Big Aristotle’s mother Lucille O’Neal.

The addition is part of the re-branding taking place at Hollywood Casino, which is changing its name to The Queen Baton Rouge in the fall.

Big Chicken is one of three new quick-service restaurants coming to the casino later this year. The full, $85 million renovation includes moving it to land, adding more than 100,000 square feet and increasing gaming and entertainment venues.
