INDEPENDENCE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported shooting that happened near a daycare center on Wednesday.
According to the sheriff’s office, the incident was recorded on a surveillance camera. Detectives learned the shooting happened a few hundred feet from a daycare facility and directly behind a school bus on Brickyard Road.
The sheriff’s office believes the two vehicles of interest include a small dark blue sedan with a paper tag in the rear window with possible bodywork on the passenger side and a dark-colored sedan. The make and model are not known.
